Catholic schools exist to provide excellent education in a faith-filled environment, centered in the person of Jesus Christ. This is our mission and our mandate. Since its founding, St. Rita School has served and educated thousands of young minds in Harahan, Louisiana. We now embark on a strategic plan—SR31—to guide St. Rita School into the future with intention and ambition.
This five-year strategic plan for St. Rita School presents a prayerfully discerned and aspirational vision for strengthening our Catholic identity, enhancing academic excellence, improving governance and leadership, and supporting operational vitality. Based on the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools (NSBECS), our strategic planning efforts are organized around four essential domains that reflect our commitment to excellence in Catholic education:
● Mission and Catholic Identity ● Governance and Leadership ● Academic and Athletic Excellence ● Operational Vitality
SR31 builds upon St. Rita School’s existing strengths while identifying opportunities for growth and improvement. The initiatives described here are intended to guide thoughtful action, encourage collaboration, and inspire faithful stewardship of the resources entrusted to our school.
This plan reflects our shared vision and priorities for the coming years. While we are committed to pursuing these goals with diligence and faith, their implementation will depend on available resources, timing, leadership capacity, and ongoing discernment guided by the Holy Spirit.
Through the collaborative efforts of our Board of Education, faculty, staff, families, and parish community, we strive to position St. Rita School as a beacon of Catholic education for generations to come. Father Steven Bruno, Pastor Mrs. Toni Vezinat, Principal
